In Class Exercise – Audit Simulation

Objective: To simulate the process of an internal audit from start to finish, allowing participants to understand the various stages, challenges, and responsibilities.

Instructions:

• Divide the participants into small groups.

• Assign each group a different section of the mock company's quality management system to audit.

• Distribute the mock documentation, checklists, and role cards to each group.

• Have participants role-play different stages of the audit process:

• Pre-audit planning: Discuss and define objectives, scope, and criteria.

• Opening meeting: Role-play the introduction and setting of expectations.

• Evidence collection: Review documents, interview the "auditee", and take notes.

• Closing meeting: Discuss findings and potential non-conformities.

• Conclude with a group reflection on the experience, challenges faced, and lessons learned.
