The Shippers Group was certified to ISO 9001:2000 in October 2008. We received the following e-mail from their ISO 9001 Management Representative: "
Good News, we are approved for certification for ISO 9001:2000. Your CIS system works great!" We believe that these three simple words says it all "It Works Great".

We just completed our final day of a recertification audit, and it went extremely well. The CIS program you designed was instrumental in helping us invigorate the ISO program in our organization.

Today, The Grimes Companies (TGC) announced that it has received ISO 9001:2000 certification. The certification, which typically takes more than a year to achieve, was completed at TGC in only four months. The compressed schedule is a testament to the already established processes and the commitment of both the implementation team and the entire company.
TGC President, Michael O'Leary, in commenting on the company’s accomplishment stated, “This certification is the validation of a business philosophy that has been in place at The Grimes Companies for more than 30 years. By adopting the guidelines of the ISO we are ensuring that we have all the tools are in place to continuously improve our operations and better serve our customers."
The company used the “CIS” (Continuous Improvement Software) program as well as consulting services provided by Peter Sanderson of TQMS, to help streamline the certification process. This resulted in a well organized system that was easy for Moody and Associates to audit for certification. To maintain ISO compliance the company will continue to use the CIS package, which tracks process integrity, customer satisfaction, and costs, while prompting management to remain within the guidelines of the ISO standard.
